Ministries at The Edge:

All ministries exist for the sole purpose to serve our church community at every age, gender, and interest level. All ministries are always seeking new volunteers to join in on the amazing things that God is doing through each organization.

Please feel free to contact each ministry leader with any questions you may have.

  • Launch kids church

Psalms 127:3 says “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward!” Jesus also showed his heart in Matthew 19:14 our ministry verse, when he said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”

Children are a heritage from the Lord, they are our future, and these little ones are so precious to the Lord. He tells us not to hinder them but to let them come.

Proverbs 22:6 directs us to, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Our job as kids’ ministers is to serve and love on kids with an unconditional Jesus kind a love, and we get to have silly, crazy, fun doing it!

Our Launch Mission in 3…2…1… Blast off:

    3…Love kids with Christ love

    2…Help kids grow in Christ

    1…Lead Kids to Christ

    Blast off!

  • Mini-launch kids church

Mini launch is a branch of the Launch Kids' Ministry in which services our Two and Three year-olds.

This class will be following the same curriculum as our Launch Ministry as they participate in worship, snacks, and a craft!

Mini Launch is a safe environment for this tender age to learn about God and the love that He has for them.

  • The Edge youth

We are The Edge Youth! (Ages 12-17)

We are in existence for one goal; and that goal is to change lives.

While Jesus walked the earth he changed the lives of all those he came into contact with. In essence, we believe that when we trust Jesus to lead our lives and we follow him, we in turn will change the lives of those around us!

Our goal is to encourage and lead our students to be active in servant-hood and help them learn that they can accomplish great things, even as 'young people'.

Like Jesus, we all have been called to serve, so we try to take the heart Jesus' last commandment in Matthew 28:18-20; (and in a nutshell) "to make  disciples of all nations..."

Come join us in changing the world and lives of people around us!

Harrison Glenewinkel is our Youth Director and you can contact him at: EdgeYouth@avedge.org

  • extension outreach

We are an outreach ministry of the Edge Foursquare Church.

Our focus is to Extend the love of Christ throughout our community, especially those who are homeless and disadvantaged.

We have a fairly large homeless population here in the AV, so we've adopted Jane Reynolds Park, where we meet once a month to provide for their physical needs, such as clothing and a delicious meal; as well as providing for their spiritual needs with a time of worship, prayer, and a sharing of God's word.

We have had the amazing privilege of seeing lives changed and relationships restored.

Our aim is to help people realize that they are not alone, they are not outcasts, they are important and loved; loved by us and loved by God, and there is hope!

To volunteer, or if you have any questions, please contact Jeff Richards at: Outreach@avedge.org

  • reflections sisterhood

Our Sisterhood exists to teach and encourage women to develop and strengthen their relationships, as we grow in our faith in Christ.

We invite woman of all ages to attend our monthly gatherings.

  • the armory men's fellowship

    Men are better together.

When we live in unity with Jesus, we see addictions break, anger is released, and we experience healing in the areas of life that affect us the most.

Whether through a breakfast or a BBQ, we often see that the quickest way to a brothers heart is usually through his appetite; we have a great time eating and sharing with one another as we learn how to put on the armor of God, as we take on the responsibilities as the leaders of our homes and our communities.

  • the cafe team

Our goal is to make you and your family feel right at home, because this is your home, and we're family; so, we want to serve you like family!

Though coffee and pastry may not be much, we serve what we have (with our hearts), to fill you with love. We are always looking for new team members who share our heart for serving and hospitality.

"For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many" Matthew 20:28

  • the ushers team

An Usher is a person who helps ensure a smoothly running Worship Experience.

As the Church arrives, the ushers greet people with a smile, shaking hands, and helping in any way they can. They are available to answer guests' questions and help in seating for those who need assistance.

They are responsible to take up the church offering and also help with communion Sundays. A church usher has a true love for the people of the church and a desire to promote an atmosphere of worship in the house of God. Our Team's theme verse is found in Psalm 84:10, “I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.”
